Officials investigating bomb threat at Owasso Kohl’s

No bomb was found, police are checking security footage after fire alarms went off

OWASSO, Okla. — The Kohl’s in Owasso has reopened following a bomb threat on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the call came in just before 3:45 p.m. The person claimed there was a bomb inside a backpack in one of the bathrooms.

Officers say the fire alarms went off inside the store not long after.

According to officers, they checked all bathrooms and found nothing, so they did a secondary search of the entire store with managers. Nothing suspicious was found at that time either.

Kohl’s, as well as other nearby stores, were evacuated as police investigated.

Police say they will look at surveillance cameras with security at the store to try and determine what happened.
