Obama administration now accused of targeting Billy Graham

Evangelist’s organizations probed before election

First it was conservative groups targeted by the IRS and then the phone records of reporters. Now the administration is accused of zeroing in on Billy Graham's religious organization.

Graham’s son Franklin points out the Graham ministries as well as Samaritan’s Purse, another of their ventures were reviewed in October by the IRS after they ran ads concerning the election.

In the ad Billy Graham wrote:

On Tuesday it was revealed that Franklin Graham wrote a letter to President Obama with complaints about how the group was treated.

As I approach my 94th birthday, I realize this election could be my last,” I believe it is vitally important that we cast our ballots for candidates who base their decisions on biblical principles and support the nation of Israel. I urge you to vote for those who protect the sanctity of life and support the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman.”

In the letter Franklin Graham says "in light of what the IRS admitted to on Friday, May 10th, 2013 and subsequent revelations from other sources, I do not believe that the IRS audit of our two organizations last year is a coincidence-or justifiable."
