Woman's execution delayed, drug appeared 'cloudy'

Convicted of plotting murder of her husband

A woman's execution has been postponed out of an "abundance of caution."

Georgia corrections officials say Kelly Renee Gissendaner was convicted of plotting the murder of her husband.

Officials say the lone drug that was to be used appeared cloudy.

Gissendaner would be only the 16th woman put to death nationwide since the Supreme Court allowed the death penalty to resume in 1976.
