U.S. oil rig count finally goes up

Horizontal rig count up by four; overall count down by one

The U.S. oil slump might have finally leveled off.

Business Insider says after 24 straight weeks of declines, the horizontal drilling rig count went up by four last week.

The overall rig count went down by one, but that's the smallest drop since the slump began.

Experts say oil production will probably still drop for the next few months, but they predict production will go up again at the start of next year, and that's very good news for oil-producing states like Oklahoma.
