Lyme disease is bad enough.
But doctors say ticks have something even WORSE.
It's called Powassan virus.
But it's on the rise in the Northeast and Great Lakes states.
And it's rare, thank goodness.
And doctors told CBS-2 News if you get it, its symptoms are similar to Lyme disease but much more severe.
"The doctor just has to support you during that acute illness and hope that you survive," a doctor said.
There's no cure.
