Suspect gets busted in Tulsa for alleged cockfighting operation

Officers found more than 100 chickens

A search for a loose dog led Tulsa officers to a whole lot more on Friday.

Police uncovered a cockfighting operation at a north Tulsa home.  Officers also recovered meth and a gun.

A neighbor we spoke to was troubled by the discovery.

Officers found a fighting pit, enhancement drugs and more than 100 chickens.

"We could hear them crowing every day," the neighbor said.  "Yes, we knew they had chickens."

Jamie Centeno was taken into custody. He reportedly told investigators he was raising the chickens to send back to Mexico.

There is no mugshot on the Tulsa County Jail website because he's a hold for ICE.
