Resorts booking float trips despite rainy forecast

If you’re going, better take extra clothes

Much of eastern Oklahoma is expected to get drenched this weekend.

Despite the forecast, many resorts in Tahlequah told KRMG they’re planning on ‘business as usual’ this weekend.

“We’re planning it on still being a really good weekend.” Esther Sanders with Eagle Bluff Resort said.

Diamondhead and War Eagle Resorts also told KRMG they plan to operate as normal this weekend.

FOX23 Chief Meteorologist James Aydelott is forecasting lots of rain and told KRMG the river could be high and flowing quickly this weekend.

Even with their confidence, severe weather can’t be ruled out.

Stay weather aware and call ahead before you book a float trip.

The KRMG StormCenter will be standing by if the weather turns severe.
