Pedestrian dies after argument over cell phone

TPD: Passenger tossed phone from car, driver told her to recover it

Tulsa police say a rolling disagreement about a cell phone ends with the death of a woman.

34-year old Amanda Martin and driver Travis Casey were eastbound on Highway 11 near Pine Street when Amanda threw the phone out of the car window.

Travis stopped the car and told her to retrieve the phone from the road, but when she did another driver in a red F-150 pickup struck her in traffic.

No charges were filed against Richesin after the collision around 10:16 Tuesday night.

Tulsa Police Corporal Greg Smith said, "The other vehicle was driven by a Doug Richesin. He stopped immediately and called for assistance but she was transported to the hospital but did pass away from her injuries."
