Pastor calls homosexuality a "death worthy crime"

Sign comes as Supreme Court rules on gay marriage

Pastor Robert Lee's Ten Commandments Church is known for staunch views. However, when Robert Owens saw a sign at the church reading, "Homesexuality is a Death Worthy Crime," he was shocked.

"This is the first time that I have ever seen anything that actually crossed the line and was inferring death upon a group," Owens told WGXA.

While admitting he has gay friends and family members, Owens said, “if they were causing people to think, "wow those people really need to die" that's a terrible thing, that's crossing line."

Leviticus 20:13 in the King James Bible says, “if a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

Lee doesn't agree, and points to Leviticus 20:13. "Homosexuality is an abomination," he began. "The Bible says that homosexuality is a death worthy crime."

"The institution of marriage was instituted by God,” Lee continued. “It should not be changed by people who deserve not to live."
