One dead, several injured in motorcycle crash

We've learned one person is dead and several others were injured, after a pickup crashed into a motorcycle Saturday.

The collision happened in Stephens County, near Comanche.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the driver of the truck crossed the center line on U.S. 81 and collided with a motorcycle.  This caused other riders to crash, as they attempted to avoid the initial collision.

53-year-old Monty Howell was pronounced dead at the scene.  At least seven other motorcyclists were transported to hospitals with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup wasn't injured.  No word on what caused him to cross the center line.
