Ora Holland was the oldest known living Oklahoman and was noted as one of the oldest living people in the world.
Holland lived in Tulsa for about 25 years and moved to Yukon in 2012. She was originally from Missouri, moved around to a few other states, but spent the rest of her life in Oklahoma.
She left Tulsa to go to an assisted living facility closer to family near Oklahoma City.
The car had just 7,000 miles on it in 2007, so she didn’t drive much, but she remained independent as long as possible.
Holland was still driving up until her eyesight started to fail in about 2009. She was driving a 2000 Buick Century that she bought for herself as a birthday present when she turned 100 years old.
