Man's swimming pool pushed above ground by rain

KRMG has told you about two different underground storm shelters that recently floated up out of the ground due to flooding.

Now, a Moore Vietnam veteran has a similar problem.

Dean Willeford tells FOX25 News, the recent rain has caused his underground pool to float up out of the ground.

"My grandson came in and said, 'Papa, something's wrong with the pool.'"

Things got worse on Friday, when Willeford discovered his insurance company won't be covering the problem.

"They've evaluated it and said they won't touch it," he said. "They said it's not on my insurance policy."

FOX25 News reports the fix won't be cheep.  Willeford has been told by a contractor the pool needs to be knocked down and the total cost of the project will be around $14,000.

Unfortunately, Willeford doesn't have enough money to cover the costs.

"I think God is telling me, it's time to get out of the pool business," Willeford said.
