Man gets rescued from floodwaters, then arrested

It was a good day and a bad day for one unidentified man on Thursday.

We're told the man needed to be rescued after being swept away by floodwaters in Choctaw County.  The rescue happened around 8:25 p.m., in the area of U.S. 70 and Muddy Boggy Creek Bridge.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say two troopers used a boat to rescue the man.  He was discovered clinging to a tree nearly 200 yards south of U.S. 70.

Once he was taken to dry land, Choctaw County deputies arrested him on a count of public intoxication.
