Jodi Arias sentenced to life in prison, no parole

Convicted for killing her boyfriend in 2008

A judge sentenced Arias to life in prison without the possibility of parole Monday.

Arias was convicted for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.

The death penalty wasn’t an option.

Arias shot Alexander and stabbed him nearly 30 times in his home near Phoenix.

Arias killed Alexander in 2008 after an on-again-off-again relationship. Prosecutors said Arias killed him out of jealousy and because he wanted to end their relationship.

She was later arrested later and, at first, denied involvement in Alexander’s death.
