Ice cream listeria traced to pint-filling machine

Statement: Firm is cleaning, making changes at facility

An Ohio ice cream manufacturer has an answer after listeria is found in its products.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams says it has traced the source of listeria in its Ohio production facility to a pint-filling machine.

Jeni's announced last month that it would recall retail products and close ice cream shops in six states after listeria was discovered in some pints.

A statement says the firm is cleaning and making changes at a facility in Columbus.
