Freezing rain, drizzle expected on Sunday

KRMG has learned the Winter Weather Advisory has been extended for Tulsa and Delaware counties on Sunday until 11 a.m.

Previously, the advisory was expected to remain in effect until 6 a.m.

The National Weather Service says we could see freezing drizzle and freezing rain during the morning hours.

Drivers should be extra careful, especially on bridges and overpasses.

"Additional ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch will be possible with ongoing areas of freezing rain," the NWS says on their website.  "Trace amounts will accompany freezing drizzle as it becomes more predominant this morning."

Temperatures will get over freezing today, but not by much.  The high for today is expected to be around 36 degrees.
