Fatal crash suspect admits drinking several beers

Police say that may have led to a fight with the passenger before collision

New details start to surface in the case against two brothers and what happened before and after a fatal hit-and-run last week.

The crash happened Friday morning at Highway 66 and 530 Road near Verdigris.

Troopers believe Gage and Dakota Shriver were on their way to the store when they started to fight about drinking and driving.

Gage, who later admitted to investigators that he had several beers, was in the driver seat.

The victims, Noelle New and Maranda Talley, were walking on a rural road in Rogers County when the truck swerved. New was killed and Talley was critically injured.

Troopers say the boys called 911 and even showed back up on the scene with their mother.

Investigators found Dakota's wallet on the ground at the scene and tracked the brothers down a home not far away.

Gage and Dakota Shriver were arrested Friday.

Monday Dakota Shriver's bond was set at $132,000 and Gage Shriver's bond was set at $144,455.
