Craft beer week offers opportunity to explore new flavors

There are ten days of events at several locations around Tulsa

Ten days of sudsy events are available for those who love, or want to try, craft beers in Tulsa.

Craft Beer Week kicked off Thursday, and wraps up next weekend.

Jeff Cailloutte of Roughtail Brewery told KRMG's partners at FOX23 News that the event is a great opportunity for his Oklahoma City-based company.

The hope is to convince more people not to go with the same old national brands, but to branch out and explore the wide range of offerings by smaller, local breweries.

“People want to taste different beers. They want to experiment with different beers and so the opportunity for you to put your different options out there is just unexplainable,” Cailloutte said.

With possible changes in Oklahoma law concerning beer pending, it's possible that local brewers could have a lot of reasons to raise their glasses in a toast in the near future.
