Boy near death after getting pinned in flooded pond

Police: Rescuers took nearly 10 minutes to pull boy from water

Parts of Texas are being drenched by Tropical Depression Bill.

A 10-year-old Central Texas boy is fighting for his life after being swept into a flooded pond in a town near Fort Hood.

Police in Nolanville say it took rescuers nearly 10 minutes to pull the boy from the water Wednesday because he was partially pinned.

Streams and lakes in the region are already swollen because of recent heavy rains.
