Attorney wants to make it legal to shoot gay people

He's gathering signatures to put it on a ballot

A lawyer in Southern California takes the opposition to gay people to a whole new level.

The Sun-Time newspapers reports that attorney Matt McLaughlin from Huntington Beach has started a petition to make it legal to shoot gay people.

He would have to get 365,000 signatures to get it on a ballot.

And even if that happens, it would have to be approved by voters and by the courts, which seems highly unlikely.
