Nathan Hale High School goes on lockdown after reports of student with a gun

UPDATE:  Students are back in class at Nathan Hale High School near 21st and South Sheridan after a morning lockdown.

We're told a girl on a bus said she saw a gun on a fellow student and that he made threats.

Police showed up including the Special Operations Team that had been at a training meeting when the call about the student with a possible gun went out over the police scanner.

Tulsa Police Captain Ryan Perkins says they made contact with the male student but didn't find a gun in the school after a thorough search.

The tactical team went inside the school and with the help of school officials relaying information from video cameras inside the school about the location of the male student.

Classes resumed and students were allowed back inside the school after police took the male student in custody.

Police say they are talking with the male and female student about what happened because right now the stories from the two seem to conflict with each other.

Students at Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa were put on lockdown Wednesday morning after reports circulated of a student with a gun.

Tulsa Police tell us that the situation was resolved after the student was taken into custody.

KRMG News is told that Tulsa Police have been unable to find a gun and question whether a gun was present during the incident.

The incident is said to have started after a female and male student got into an argument on the school bus in the morning. The boy is said to have threatened the girl and school with a gun.
