The spacewalk is part of a mission to repair a $2 billion cosmic ray detector on the ISS. The equipment is an Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer, and it’s not designed to be serviced in orbit. NASA hopes they can work on the delicate machinery without further damage. Watch the progress below.
