Marvel changing Thor to a female

Won't Chris Hemsworth be surprised

Marvel Comics announced what they called "one of the most shocking and exciting changes" on the TV show, The View.

Author Jason Aaron made it clear this is no knock-off of the original. "This is not She-Thor." This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR."

Marvel explained the change on their website.

Writing on the hammer, Mjölnir says ,"whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

"THOR is the latest in the ever-growing and long list of female-centric titles that continues to invite new readers into the Marvel Universe. THOR will be the 8th title to feature a lead female protagonist and aims to speak directly to an audience that long was not the target for super hero comic books in America: women and girls."

True fans know there is an interesting dilemma to be dealt with.

No worries.

Marvel editor Wil Moss told The Slate, "it's time to update that inscription."

The new demi-God will be first seen in October issues.
