TULSA, Okla. — A Broken Arrow man was arrested on charges he threatened to blow up and drive his truck into the Veterans Administration (VA) medical center in south Tulsa.
According to court documents, veteran patient Glenn Michael Good left a voicemail on a VA social worker’s voicemail talking about a violent plan to blow up his house and drive his truck into the front of the VA medical center located near East 91st Street and South Mingo.
Investigators state in the same court documents that Good wanted to “make an example” of the Tulsa VA because he wanted to “make noise to get things done.” He also hoped some of his violence would play out in front of TV news cameras.
VA Police state they did multiple welfare checks on Good to determine if he was suicidal or had the immediate desire to commit homicide, and Good denied either and appeared in sane mental health.
The VA Police Service noted in its investigation that last February, Good also threatened to “murder” MRI staff at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa as well.
In both instances, court documents state Good wanted to get into a violent altercation with police responding to his plots.
Good was arrested on one count of creating a terrorism hoax. The maximum penalty for a single count is up to ten years and potential reimbursement to responding agencies for any expenses incurred investigating his threats.
