Man shot in the head in drive-by shooting in east Tulsa

Tulsa police say the man was laying in bed when he was struck by gunfire.

TULSA, Okla. — A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in what police are calling a drive-by shooting in east Tulsa Monday night.

Lieutenant Chris O’Keefe with Tulsa police tells us the man was shot while laying in bed inside his home near East 11th Street and Highway 169 around 12:30 a.m.

Officers went to the home to investigate and found two shell casings in the street.

TPD is still working to find out what could have led to the shooting.

Police say a black sedan was seen leaving the area after the shots were fired.

The man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition, but police say he was alert upon arriving there.
