22-year-old driver ejected from vehicle in Tulsa

A 22-year-old woman is said to be in serious, but stable condition following a single-vehicle crash in Tulsa County on Friday.

The wreck happened around 3:31 p.m. on I244 near the 23rd Street bridge. According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol press release, the Ford Explorer departed the roadway for an unknown reason.

“Struck a guardrail, and rolled an undetermined number of times before coming to rest upright in the outside lane of I244,” the press release read.  “The driver was ejected an unknown distance during the rollover sequence.”

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

She was transported to St. John Hospital with injuries to her “head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg.”
