Wreck shuts down Harvard at 33rd Street

No one was hurt, but a car was totaled and a delivery truck badly damaged

One of Tulsa's busiest streets was shut down for about an hour late Tuesday morning after a crash left vehicles and debris scattered all over the road.

The wreck happened about 10:15 a.m. near E. 33rd St. and S. Harvard Ave.

A southbound car crossed the center line and smashed into a northbound delivery truc k.

The driver and passenger of the box truck said they saw the silver car cross the center line well ahead of them, then go back into its lane.

KRMG spoke with the driver of the car, who said "he guessed" he had crossed the center line.

The driver of the truck hit his brakes, but seconds later the car crossed back over into the northbound lane and smashed into the truck.

The collision destroyed the car and badly damaged the truck, but no one was hurt in the crash.

Police ticketed the driver of the car.

Harvard was shut down for about an hour until Storey Wrecker could tow both vehicles from the scene.
