Women lands Cadillac upside down and submerged in creek

Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that killed a Vinita woman.

Troopers say Shelly Long's Cadillac went off a bridge and landed upside down in a creek.

It happened just after 2:00 Sunday morning on a county road about two miles outside of Vinita.

Long was pinned in the car for about 25 minutes.

OHP says the 46-year-old driver left the roadway to the right and went over a guardrail.

The woman riding in the passenger seat, 22-year-old Nolan Long of Vinita, was treated at the Vinita hospital and released after suffering minor injuries.

OHP reports Long died at Craig General Hospital in Vinita at 4:04 Sunday morning.

Trooper Jerrod Martin listed the cause of the wreck as driving under the influence of alcohol in his crash report.
