Women critically injured in pit bull attack improving; owner to be ticketed

Dog's owner will be fined $150 for not having a pet license and for having an unneutered dog in the city limits

Two women viciously attacked by a pit bull yesterday are improving.

Beverly Wright is listed in fair condition and Irene Parker is listed in serious condition. Wright and Parker were taken to a Tulsa-area hospital in critical condition yesterday morning.

The ladies were going door to door for their church when a pit bull in the house they stopped at attacked.

Tulsa Animal Control tells KRMG that the dog's owner will be fined $150 for not having a pet license and for having an unneutered dog in the city limits.

Mike Harrell was nearby and was able to distract the dog and shoot it.
