A Tulsa woman who admitted pushing her husband to his death from a high-rise apartment will serve a 25-year prison sentence, plus pay a $10,000 fine.
The judge also ordered Hilberling to repay the $6100 costs for Josh's funeral to Josh's family.
Amber Hilberling, 21, claimed self-defense at her trial, after turning down a plea deal that would have meant a five-year sentence.
Prosecutors offered her five years in prison and ten years' parole, with credit for time served, if she accepted a guilty plea.
She was arrested and charged in June, 2011 after her husband, Josh Hilberling, fell from the window of the couple's apartment at the University Club Apartments, 1722 S. Carson Ave., near E. 21st St. and S. Riverside.
She rejected the offer, and a jury found her guilty of second-degree murder.
Hilberling had a rough time staying out of jail since her arrest.
She was initially released on a $250,000 bond, but apparently let the battery on her ankle monitor go dead as many as ten times.
The judge eventually reinstated her bond, only to have her fail a urinalysis which indicated marijuana use.
She was then jailed without bond pending the outcome of the trial.
