Woman stranded in car for five days

Victim flown in critical condition to hospital

A Colorado woman is recovering after being stranded in her car for five days.

The car had left a rural highway southwest of Denver last Tuesday.

Hikers found 43-year-old Kristin Hopkins Sunday near the community of Fairplay, apparently out of view of passing drivers.

The Denver Post reports Hopkins was flown in critical condition to a hospital.

The Colorado State Patrol says she was conscious and coherent.
