Woman kills teenagers, says they were mouthy, disrespectful

Army colonel father was serving in Afghanistan

Jury selection is set to begin today in the trial of a Tampa woman accused of killing her two teenagers in 2011 because they were "mouthy" and disrespectful.

Julie Schenecker is accused of shooting her 13-year-old son twice in the head in the family car as she drove him to soccer practice.

Her 16-year-old daughter was shot in the face as she sat at her computer.

Court documents show Schenecker has suffered from mental illness for decades.

The shootings happened while the father, an Army colonel, was in Afghanistan.
