Woman injured during possible car racing on Highway 75

Driver lost control, overturned down 25 foot drop

A woman was taken to the hospital just before 1 a.m. Friday after a one-vehicle wreck near 3100 South Highway 75.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the woman may have been racing someone when she went off of the road and her car rolled over, ending up on its top about 100 feet from the roadway.

News On 6 photojournalist Gary Kruse says it's about a 25-foot drop down to where her car came to rest on a grassy incline.

She was helped to an EMSA ambulance and transported to a hospital.

This is in an area that is parallel to the railroad yard in west Tulsa.

We're told she had a possible shoulder injury sustained in the crash.

State Troopers said they believe that alcohol may have been involved in this accident.

There was no evidence that the woman made contact with any other vehicles during the incident.
