Middletown, PA — Charges are filed against a woman for beating her daughter.
Police in Middletown, Pennsylvania, say a woman severely beat, bit and tried to strangle her daughter for incorrectly reciting Bible verses.
Rhonda Kemp Shoffner also allegedly put the girl out of their home.
Charges she faces include aggravated assault and terroristic threats.
The girl, who is under the age of 13, told police her mother had been drunk for three days.
