Woman arrested in March rape case

We've learned a Tulsa woman was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a rape case from last month.

Police say a female victim went to a home near East 49th and Riverside on March 1 to collect money she was owed from doing yard work.

Once inside the home, the victim was attacked by Julie Jones and an unidentified woman.

Police say they tied the victim up with an extension cord, and then raped her.  A short time later, they took off with the woman's phone, cash, and car.

The victim did know Jones, which helped officers catch up with her on Monday.

Once in custody, Jones confessed to only being present during the kidnapping, rape, and robbery of the victim.

Police say she faces counts of sexual battery, rape by instrumentation, kidnapping, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The second suspect isn't in custody as of Tuesday morning.
