Woman arrested for selling heroin from intensive care bed

Yes, she was arrested

You can call Lori Sullenberger many things, but lazy isn’t one of them.

Even while in intensive care for an unknown illness, Sullenberger continued selling heroin to what was termed "an exorbitant amount of foot traffic happening to a patient's room.”

Hospital staff became suspicious with “patients not coming to stay two hours, but patients coming to stay two minutes."

When several didn’t know her last name, they alerted police. Cops sent in an undercover “customer” who bought 30 bags of heroin, giving them the evidence they needed.

So they began asking some of the visitors a few questions.

WTAE reports after she was arrested, police found nearly 400 bags of heroin and over $1,400 in cash.

End of story, right? Not completely.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports, after she was arrested, Sullenberger told authorities she injected the drug into her own IV.

The woman now faces several felony and misdemeanor charges of drug possession and distribution.
