Woman arrested after police car, foot chase

TPD: She 'ran off the right edge of the roadway, struck a tree'

A woman is arrested after running on foot from police after the officer chased her car.

We're told an officer spotted the woman parked behind a church near East 11th Street and South 89th East Avenue when she drove away about 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Darren Bristow tells us the "driver lost control, ran off the right edge of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. After a very short foot chase the officer caught the driver and placed her into custody."

She faces several charges including eluding police, driving with no driver's license and no insurance.
