Watergate scandal site being torn down

Parking garage where 'Deep Throat' met reporter Bob Woodward being razed

One of the key places from the Watergate scandal is being torn down.

It's the parking garage outside Washington D.C., made famous in shadowy scenes in the movie 'All the President's Men',  where FBI official Mark Felt, known as 'Deep Throat', gave inside information to reporter Bob Woodward.

The information helped Woodward and fellow Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein write a series of investigative stories that ultimately forced President Richard Nixon to resign.

The garage is being torn down to make way for a new residential and commercial development, but there will be a historical marker at the spot.
