Water main breaks due to freezing temps keeping crews busy

The cold temperatures could cause some problems for drivers with an increase in water main breaks.

KRMG caught up with a City of Tulsa crew fixing a 12-inch line near 11th St and 177th East Ave in east Tulsa.

Workers say the freezing temperatures often cause the ground to shift which breaks pipes.

Those breaks take around four to six hours to fix once nearby utility lines are marked.
