F&DA wants feedback from CBD users

Washington, D.C. — The Food and Drug Administration is asking for feedback from CBD users as the agency investigates the safety of products containing the ingredient.

The FDA is looking to obtain more information about the safety, manufacturing, product quality, marketing, labeling and sale of products containing cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds.

The agency says it is seeing reports of CBD products not containing the advertised amounts of CBD or containing pesticides and heavy metals.

The FDA says no research has been done on how these products could affect children, the elderly, and pregnant or lactating women.
