Veterans taking part in latest Oklahoma Honor Flight

Dozens of Oklahoma World War II are spending the day in Washington, D.C.

These heroes are part of the latest Oklahoma Honor Flight.

The 80 veterans are visiting the World War II memorial built in their honor.

In between, these heroes are scheduled to visit the WWII Memorial and several other monuments before witnessing a changing of the guard ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

The day began before dawn at Tulsa International Airport and ends there well after dark.

Congressman Jim Bridenstine met with veterans at the WWII Memorial.

After that, veterans visited the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials as well as the Lincoln Memorial.
