VIDEO: Mayor praises Tulsa in State of the City address

Bartlett: "We stick it out through thick and thin. We won’t and do not quit."

Mayor Dewey Bartlett took to the podium to praise Tulsa in his annual State of the City address at the Cox Business Center Thursday afternoon.

Bartlett began by praising Tulsa's musical heritage and couldn't resist busting out his blues harmonica.

He then got serious about the future. Bartlett says, "We continue to build upon our legacies in the arts, in energy and manufacturing, aviation and small business creation – all with vision, sweat and commitment. We stick it out through thick and thin. We won’t and do not quit."

Bartlett also looked ahead to the election looming this fall. Bertlett says, "This is the best time to be the mayor of our great city. Maybe that is why we see a renewed interest in being mayor."
