Video: Christmas lights on this Tulsa home have gone viral

Jay Perkins does this every year

The video went viral and now a Tulsa house has too.

Jay Perkins began doing big Christmas light displays to make his now six year old daughter Ashley smile. Every year he picks a popular song to synchronze the lights to.

This year he picked “What Does the Fox Say” by Ylvis.

But even more time consuming is writing the program for the synchronization.

Perkins takes about four weeks and dozens of cords to get the display put up.

“Every minute of music takes about six hours to program,” Jay said.

Perkins has an advantage, he’s an electrical engineer and works with software so the task was more like second nature than work.

See the video below or check out the house in person. Perkins lives just off 111th between Yale and Sheridan.
