OWASSO, Okla. — More than 800 parents joining the Facebook group in favor of Owasso students returning to the classroom.
The district says the decision to pause in-person instruction came after a recommendation from the state department of education and the health department. Which means virtual learning for at least the first eight weeks.
The group doesn’t see distance learning being sustainable. Since administration won’t budge they’ve started a petition to recall Owasso school board members.

These parents already have 100+ signatures and expect to get even more. Taking the petition to the election board to force an election for new school board members.
