18-year-old Rabih Ozeir from Tulsa has died at a Tulsa hospital after he was shot at least seven time outside a gym in Cushing, west of Tulsa.
The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Thursday outside a fitness center on Main Street called The Gym of Cushing.
KUSH Radio told the News On 6 that Ozeir was acting strangely by approaching people and offering to pay them to beat him up.
Soon, officers saw him outside of the gym and that's when they say he pulled out a gun and threatened officers.
We're told someone in the gym called police.
When he refused to comply with orders, he was shot, police say.
Ozeir was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital.
The officers involved have been put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
An investigation is underway by the Payne County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
