UPDATE: Passenger dies after three car crash

A driver tried to turn around on the Muskogee Turnpike last week

(BROKEN ARROW, Okla.) - Oklahoma authorities say an Arkansas woman has died after a three-vehicle crash that wounded 11.

The Oklahoma State Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Nancy Vea of Charleston, Arkansas, died Saturday at a Tulsa hospital.

A trooper says she was one of five passengers in a van that attempted to make an improper U-turn on the Muskogee Turnpike in Wagoner County on Friday. He says the driver of a semitrailer behind the van tried to stop and was struck from behind by a passenger bus. The semitrailer then struck the van, ejecting Vea.

Eighteen-year-old Bradley Osborne of Las Vegas was also a van passenger and was hospitalized with head and internal injuries. His condition is unclear.

Nine passengers from the van and bus were treated and released at Muskogee and Tulsa hospitals.

No citations were reported.
