UPDATE: Homicide victim identified, suspect arrested

Victim was found laying next to a car, which was up on the curb

Tulsa police were called to the scene of a fatal shooting near 66th St. N. and Denver Ave.

Officers received a call of shots being fired around 10:15 Thursday morning.

When police arrived, they found a man shot to death, lying on the grass next to a car. Police now say that man was 55-year-old Dwight D. Webb.

Sgt. Dave Walker says 16-year-old Kourtland Hill was tracked down and admitted he was a passenger in the car at the time of the shooting.  Detectives were immediately suspicious of Hill after his story didn't match what witnesses said.

The car was up on the curb; it appeared as if Webb was driving it when shot.

Police arrested Hill for the murder of Dwight Webb.

Officers believe the motive may be robbery.

Investigators say they found some of Webb's belonging in an abandoned house, along with illegal drugs.

This is the 36th homicide of 2014 in Tulsa.
