Unload old prescription pills for free in Broken Arrow

Pills only, no liquids or needles

Now’s your chance to clean out that medicine cabinet filled with unused prescriptions.

The Broken Arrow Police Department has set up this free event on Saturday, August 2 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

You can take un-needed or expired drugs to Central Park in Broken Arrow at 1500 S Main St.

No IV bags, needles, bloody or infectious waste or vaccines.

You are asked to cross out personal information if the pills are still in the original container. Otherwise, put them in a clear bag before dropping them off.

BAPD hopes to keep these prescriptions from ending up in the landfill or water supply. Also, they hope to keep as many pills off the streets as possible.

Broken Arrow Police Department also has a permanent drop off box located at the Public Safety Complex 1101 North 6th, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
