University of Tulsa football players arrested after marijuana, rifle found in dorm

TULSA, Okla. — Two University of Tulsa football players were arrested Wednesday morning, according to Tulsa police.

Police told KRMG a TU security guard noticed the smell of marijuana coming from a dorm in the John Mabee Hall just after midnight. The guard entered the room and saw a large amount of marijuana and a rifle.

Tulsa police were called and, after obtaining a warrant, officers entered the room and retrieved 253 grams of marijuana, a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 9mm rifle and two airsoft guns.

Jail records show they were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Tulsa police said 19-year-old Korey King and 18-year-old Lazarus May, both TU football players, were arrested.
