Two men escape from Texas jail

Two men have escaped from the Hopkins County Jail in East Texas.

One of the men was awaiting trial on a murder charge.

The other man was in for evading arrest.

They searched all night for the two inmates who escaped Tuesday morning.

Officers are using tracking dogs on the ground and night-vision technology in aircraft.

Jail officials say Brian Allen Tucker of Sulphur Springs and John Marlin King of Cumby escaped fom one of the recreation yard at the Sulphur Springs jail.

Tucker was being held on $1 million bond in the 2011 death of Bobby Riley of Mahoney.

Court documents say King pleaded guilty last month to a drug possession charge as a habitual offender and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
